List Of Bursaries For Medicine In South Africa (2022)

For any society to advance, there has to be enough attention to the development of the medical profession. In South Africa, there are a lot of bursaries and scholarship schemes targeted at medical students in the country. This is to help provide funds for students who wish to study medicine, or other medical-related courses because the best students are not always the ones who can afford a lot.

Some of these bursary schemes are sponsored by renowned medical professionals who have excelled in the field, some are sponsored by municipal governments, while others are sponsored by health management organizations with the aim of grooming the next generation of medical professionals who will work for them.

If you are confident in your abilities and need funding to go through your schooling, you may wish to check out some of the available bursaries below:

Do medical students get paid in South Africa?

Yes they get paid, you can go through the list of medical bursaries in South Africa and applied to any one of them.

As expected, medicine, nursing, and other health-related courses are scarce skills that are highly valued in South African society. Therefore, there is no shortage of financial aid available to students studying health-related courses. However, we must mention that most of the financial aid available is based on academic excellence. It is therefore necessary to ensure that you maintain high scores so as to boost your chances of getting financial aid from any of these bursary schemes.
