Sasol Learnerships are available in the following fields

Boilermaking, Chemical Plant Operations, Fitting, Instrumentation, and Control Rigging, Turning, Welding, Electrical operations.

Artisan, Senior Artisan, Specialist Artisan, Master Artisan: which will make you a skilled worker adding value to the company directly with your hands.

Technician, Technologist, Engineer: This puts you in charge of a team of workers also adding value to the company.

Foreman, Area Manager, Operations/Maintenance Manager: these positions put you in charge of teams maintaining machinery, which is vital to the company’s operations.

Learning Practitioner (LP), Principal LP, Learning Manager, Senior Learning Manager: these positions will put you in charge of teaching these vital skills to upcoming learners.

The stipend is R5,500 per month

How can I get Sasol Learnership – General Requirements

Sasol learnership requirements are stated to know which applicants can be accepted into the learnership programs. Please ensure that you contact the company to gain knowledge about each specific learnership opportunity. The general requirements; which every applicant must attain are:

Applicants must have passed Grade 12 English

Applicants must have Physical Science HG/SG (Not to be substituted with Life Sciences, Science Literacy, Natural Science, Functional Science, and General Science)

Applicants must have Grade 12 Maths HG/SG (Not to be substituted with Maths Literacy, Additional Maths, Commercial Maths, Functional Maths, Applied Maths)

Alternatively, applicants may have: 

Applicants must have an N3 Certificate with Business English, Mathematics, Engineering Science and any 2 subjects passed (total of 5 subjects)

Other Requirements: Applicants must have good communication skills, must be able to work as a team, must be able to speak, read and write English. All further information will be provided to you when you apply, they may depend on what particular learnership you apply for.

Sasol Learnership Duration

These learnerships give the successful candidates about 12-24 months of training. Candidates who perform well may then be permanently assimilated into the company’s workforce.
