The programme is designed for new appointees to the financial services industry who need to have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of insurance. This personal insurance Product and Practice is one of the short-term insurance courses at UNISA, designed for people who are involved in the insurance industry in South Africa, especially those involved with selling personal insurance. Principles of Life Insurance – ISR1505
This Principles of Life Insurance programme is designed for people who are involved in the life insurance field. Possibly those who sell Life Insurance directly to clients. Higher Certificate in Insurance -90013
This Higher Certificate in Insurance course is designed for those employed by short-term insurance companies and insurance brokers. This course will help enrollees fulfill the Insurance Institutes’ requirement for membership. It may also be useful to those not employed in the Insurance Industry, but who want to obtain the credits attached to the Higher Certificate in order to get work in the insurance sector.
This qualification will be presented using both online and distance learning modes, however, it will be discontinued after 2023.
